Bristol Post has compiled some of the best running routes in Bristol so that, even in lockdown, we can get fit, enjoy the scenery, and never even have to leave the city!
As of January 4, Prime Minister Boris Johnson placed England under a nationwide lockdown, during which time people must stay at home except for certain reasons – including exercise.
You are restricted to exercising just once per day and you can exercise in open public spaces so long as it is within your local area. “Local area” is defined as the village, town or part of a city where you live.
Public spaces include parks, beaches, forests, and public playgrounds, and common sense dictates that cycling and running paths are also permitted.
Running has become a popular pastime during lockdown as people try and find ways to exercise outside of the house. So here is a list of some great running routes in Bristol you may not be aware of.
